The chalk and powder used while playing pool cannot help but get on to the table's felt, and to play good pool you must use these accessories. Therefore, at the end of each day's games, always brush down your pool table's felt. Use the Billiard Table Brush which has a special design specifically for cleaning pool table felt. The brush has longer bristles on each end to enable brushing out the corners of the table. Once you have the entire table brushed, take a hand vacuum cleaner or a large vacuum's attachment and vacuum out all the dirt from each of the pockets on the pool table. Then run the thin vacuum attachment all around the bottom edge of the bumper railing along the playing surface to get all the embedded dirt out of the attachment grove. Next, take your favorite furniture polish and wipe down the outside surfaces around the felt surface. You should also wipe down the legs and table levelers on a regular basis.. When you are not playing the game, always keep your billiard (pool) table covered. There are several types of covers that you can choose from and the choice is yours.
